When we were nearing the end of completing our music video we thought it would be a good idea to have another viewing of our music video. We had added all the footage but we were making last minute adjustments to the footage such as colourising and re-checking the lip sync. We showed the music video to our classmates and our teachers so that they could inform us about the aspects of the music video that they liked and noted any changes that should be made.

 

A summary of the results: 

 

• People really liked the editing and the performance. 

• They really enjoyed the dance routine which we had added since the last time they saw our music video. They thought it made it look more like a Deep House music video. 

 

Some of the issues with the video are; they thought some of the clips dragged on for too long and so it made the video a bit boring. We fixed this by cutting down the clips that were too long and replaced it with footage of movement and not necessarily lip syncing; this made it more fun to watch. 

 

Another issue is that some of the locations were used too much and this started to become uninteresting. This was definitely not what we wanted; so we went back through our shoots and found unused footage and replaced it. We made sure shots were not repeated and that the video would always provide something new and exciting to watch.

 

They also thought the colours of the shots did not match, but this was due to the fact we had not finished adjusting the colour on all of our clips. Once we have finished colourising our video all the clips should match.
