DIGIPAK
POST-PRODUCTION

I took to Facebook yet again to receive feedback on my digipak. This was the easiest and the most convenient option as I can easily select those in my tagret audience and presenting the images and questions is also very easy. The convenience of Facebook means they can reply at a time that suits them and their respnses are received instatly.
The feedback that I received from my digipak was very positive; they liked the use of bright colours and the font is very representative of the genre; it was noted that the digipak had a consistent feel and theme to it; this is very improtant when trying to portray a particular genre or star image. However, one individual thought the digipak looks slightly like pop; however, this was not the majority's opinion and the use of graffiti and selective clothing e.g. leather jacket conventionally does not convey the pop genre. It was suggested that the inside image on my digipak should have been of the stars face and not her body; however, in my research into Deep House music I learnt that Deep House artists did not show their faces as often as artists from other genres, such as Pop artists; I felt the image of the artist with her hands up in the air had strong connotations of freedom and fun which matches the connotations of the music video. A further suggestion is that some of the colours used elsewhere in the digipak such as the reds and greens should have been used on the back cover and CD; if I was to do this again I would take this on board and add more colour to the back panel but I would leave my CD art as it is as I feel if all the panels were filled with a lot of colour then it will be a lot for the audience to look at, and simplicity is something is a recurring theme in Deep House digipaks and I should conform to this. A final suggestion was to make the font bolder. The font that I chose was downloaded from DaFont.com and therefore it did not allow me to make text bolder as it was only availabe in the finer typeface; if I was to edit the digipak then I would find another font that is similar in style and make the text bolder.
