Low budget movies would have to be exhibited at film festivals such as BFI London Film Festival. If the film is a success and receives intrest from distribution companies, that company would then provide funding so that the film can be exhibited in independent cinemas as well as distributed among a small range of media platforms such as DVDs and being able to watch the film online on websites such as Netflix or BlinkBox.Examples of independent cinemas are the Watershed Media Centre in Bristol and Cornerhouse in Manchester. Our film will also be distributed, exhibited and marketed online on social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook, video sharing websites such as YouTube and Vimeo, also on websites and fan forums. These free online platforms all help to promote the film and broaden the audience for our film.

An example of a low budget film that was distributed and marketed in similar ways as mentioned above is 'Coming of Age'. It was screened at Lund International Fantastic Film Festival in 2011 and Donostia/San Sebastian Horror and Fantasy Film Festival in 2010. This film was then exhibited on the BBC Film Network where the best and newest UK independent films are screened.
